2nd Look Books sells gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles, and donates all proceeds to support local libraries. They donate the money to the library to purchase books, equipment, and other materials, and to provide special programs for children and adults.
2nd Look Books is tucked into a corner of EP Foster Library in downtown Ventura and is open Tuesday through Saturday 11 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. They also have an online bookstore if you’re browsing after hours. They’re staffed by volunteers through the entire process of accepting donations, sorting through them, and operating the bookstore.
They have a wide variety of books in both hardback and paper, and in large print. They have a large children and young adults section, non-fiction in many areas of interest, and rows and rows of fiction.
