Ray DiZazzo – Book Signing & Reading
September 30, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Ventura, CA 93001 United States
Camarillo author and screenwriter, Ray DiZazzo, will read poetry and sign copies of his work at Bank of Books on Oct. 30 from 1-3pm.
Mr. DiZazzo is the author of eleven books, numerous articles and several screenplays. He has received multiple awards and produced feature films and documentaries. His newest book of poems and short stories, Tropic Then, scheduled for release in March 2022, is available for pre-order. A large part of the poetry in his new work focuses on the fate of Brazil’s tropical rainforests and jungles.
“If this work,” he writes, “can simply make readers aware of the irreplaceable beauty and lives that are being lost as a result of the clearcutting and burning of Brazil’s jungles and rainforests, that will be a reward far greater than my own personal literary goals.”
Mr. DiZazzo will read from both Tropic Then and his current book of poems, The Revlon Slough, a work uniquely inspired by his discovery of, and the historic significance of, a backwater channel located in the Camarillo farmlands.
