Meet the Artists August 17 at Museum’s Bi-Annual Art Alfresco Invitational Exhibition & Art Sale

Fine art will be a highlight at this summer’s Art Alfresco Invitational Exhibition and Art Sale, presented by the Museum of Ventura County on Saturday, August 17, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Stroll through the easels, booths and sculpture of thirty of the region’s finest artists, exhibiting and selling their work in the Museum’s Plaza and in the Martin V. & Martha K. Smith Pavilion. Admission is $40.00 per person for a preview party from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., which includes a boxed gourmet lunch, one drink of choice and entry to all museum galleries. General admission from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. is $5 per person and MVC members free. A portion of the proceeds from each artwork sold will support museum programs. Artists participating in the invitational include Virginia Beale, Sherri Cassell, Gayel Childress, Susan Colla, Roger Conrad, Lori Corradi, Judith Crowe, Duane Dammeyer, Bill Dewey, Fran Elson, BiJian Fan, Gail Faulkner, Lois Freeman-Fox, Dan Harding, Maribel Hernandez, Kathy Ikerd, Maggie Kildee, Norman Kirk, Elana Kundall, Karen Lewis, Marcia Morehart, Gina Niebergall, Leonardo Nunez, Marie Paul, Chris Provenzano, David Rivas,Victor Schiro, Elain Thompson, Andrea Vargas-Mendoza, Regina Vorgang, Laura Wambsgans, Ann White, and Karen Winters.
The Museum of Ventura County is located at 100 East Main Street in downtown Ventura. Hours are 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission to the exhibitions is $4 adults, $3 seniors, $1 children 6-17, members and children under 6 are free. Paid events include free admission to the galleries, and the first Sundays of every month are free general admission for the public.
