Fine art will be a highlight at this summer’s Art Alfresco Invitational Exhibition and Art Sale, presented by the Museum of Ventura County on Saturday, August 17, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Stroll through the easels, booths and sculpture of thirty of the region’s finest artists, exhibiting and selling their work in the Museum’s Plaza and in the Martin V. & Martha K. Smith Pavilion. Admission is $40.00 per person for a preview party from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., which includes a boxed gourmet lunch, one drink of choice and entry to all museum galleries. General admission from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. is $5 per person and MVC members free.  A portion of the proceeds from each artwork sold will support museum programs. The Museum of Ventura County is located at 100 East Main Street in downtown Ventura. Hours are 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission to the exhibitions is $4 adults, $3 seniors, $1 children 6-17, members and children under 6 are free. Paid events include free admission to the galleries, and the first Sundays of every month are free general admission for the public.
