Illona Battaglia Aguayo, Dahlia Riley and Lynn Creighton will display their art in a show “Exhubrance” at Fox Fine Jewelry from March 13 through April 24, 2014. An Art Reception will be held March 22, 6 – 9pm.

Illona Battaglia Aguayo has been involved in the arts for thirty years. Many of these years were spent teaching in Egypt and Polland through Fullbright exchanges, and traveling across the globe. Now retired from her career in arts education, she is fully exploring her creative path.

Dahlia Riley was born in Germany and educated in Israel.  After receiving her M.S. in Physical Organic Chemistry, she immigrated to the United States and enjoyed an exciting career in research and sales.

Riley was always fascinated by art, but it was not until 1995 that she was able to begin classes. After her retirement in 2005, she moved to Ventura County and art became her passion. Says Riley, “When I don’t actively paint, I thing about painting. Thoughts about painting infuse most of my waking hours.” Riley has recently expanded her artistic vision to include Abstract Expressionism.

Lynn Creighton is a celebrated artist who has been exhibited, represented and collected across the country. Highly educated, with a B.S., a B.A., and a M.F.A., Creighton enjoyed a full career as a college art and ceramics professor before retiring in 2013.

Lynn Creighton promotes the concept of sacred sexuality through bronze figures. The driving force behind her work is advocating the cause of female empowerment to overcome historical suppression.  Creighton practices Native American ‘medicine’ transformational ceremonies and journeys as she grows within her self and her art..
