Kay Zetlmaier and Tina O’Brien will display their art in the show “California Coastline” at Fox Fine Jewelry from January 22 through March 15, 2015. An artists’ reception will be Saturday, January 24, from 6 – 9pm.

Kay Zetlmaier, an award winning professional Ventura County artist for 25 years, has also been an arts educator for 30 years. She is active with nonprofits, generously donating to charities including the Ventura Music Festival, the Channel Island Artists Fundraisers, and the CMH Breast Cancer Survivors. Zetlmaier’s work is contemporary impressionism, painted in oils or watercolors.

Her current body of work includes painting Pacific Coast Highway landmarks. Zetlmaier’s goal is to paint landmarks, known and forgotten, along the road’s entire 565 miles.

Tina O’Brien finds true happiness in painting. An art student for 28 years and mother of two, she has operated her own gallery in the Ventura Harbor Village for three years. O’Brien paints local scenes in a poetic realism style, and painted a mermaid series using her daughter as a model. O’Brien has showed locally numerous times, and has won multiple awards.
