About the Book:

“Looking for Emerald City” is a book designed to inspire and entertain. Made up of vignettes predicated on hope, dreams, and positive thinking, challenging yet hopeful., It suggests various concepts and what to do about them always with a path to solution and resolution. It is above all a book of hope and navigation towards happiness. We are all looking for our own version of Emerald City. Sure, it’s a destination but also a journey attempted by ALL of us. I have tried to do it with humor, philosophy, gratitude, and love. Let’s not take ourselves too seriously but remaining grateful for our experiences and lessons learned.  To quote from the cover:

“The core message of Looking for Emerald City is for everyone to live in the present, cease criticizing others, eat healthy (mostly)smile regularly exercise patience, practice prayer and meditation, and volunteer whenever possible. It teaches us how our lives depend on our attitudes, perception, focus, and energy.”

Graduated Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia for my BS and MS majoring in psychology Attended University of Virginia for my PhD, Taught public school in Norfolk VA and Ventura for nearly 40 years. Taught at college level for 5 years. Was president of Ventura Unified Education Association for 5 years. Walked to Sacramento in 2004 to support education. Have worked as a hobby in Hollywood as a writer and producer. Coached football at high school level. State director of the Special Olympics in 1970-71. Co-writer of movie TIMECRAFTERS produced in 2019

Looking for Emerald City is my second book. My first book Philosophy of a Dashboard Saint was completed in 2006
