About Dragon Lad

Written and illustrated by J. C. Stevens, the Dragon Lad trilogy is a magical fantasy adventure series filled with dragons, witches, wizards, fairies and fun. The first book in the series, The Thirteenth Egg, introduces Dorg, a dragon who hatches tiny due to a magic curse, tries to end the curse, and discovers something amazing about himself. In Tale of the Talisman, the second book in the series, the hero has just one clue to unravel the secret of his past: the talisman his dragon mother wore when she laid the egg that contained him. In the third book, Wand of the Black Sphere, the hero and his human and dragon friends duel a shape-shifting sorceress who destroys nature in her obsession to regain a wand so powerful that the Roman Army wants it, too. According to Kirkus Reviews, “Stevens combines elements of real-life English history with a shape-shifting oriented adventure for middle-grade readers … that effortlessly informs as it entertains.”
