Don’t miss Bank of Book’s author signing event featuring Arthur Gregory of “The Encanto” and “Wayob’s Revenge” on Saturday, May 28 from 1-3pm!

“The Encanto”

An ancient Mayan artifact, smuggled into Los Angeles, unexpectedly alters three lives in bizarre ways.

Gray, an aspiring artist struggling to provide for his family, Claire, his insomniac wife, and Ashley York, a wealthy socialite striving to make it as a real actress, find their paths crashing together, their dreams and their very identities threatened.

Meanwhile, Saul Parker, a detective and hobbyist magician who is self-conscious about his weight, strives to solve a strange case that seems impossible to comprehend.

Only Wayob, a mysterious chameleon-like killer, has a grasp on the dangerous power that has consumed his life and now infiltrates the others.

The Encanto, Book 1 of the LA Fog series, is an intricately woven, character-based mystery about how the choices we make inform our identity.

“The Encanto is a fantastic book. Arthur Swan sets up a very intriguing, exciting and terrifying story to kick off the LA Fog Series.” —Horror Fuel

“Swan lays crucial groundwork early, sketching out players that are multifaceted, complex, flawed, and struggling to grasp their hearts’ desires. He then ups the ante by shaking up their existences and making the characters fruitfully reexamine their identities, relationships, and choices.” — Kirkus Reviews

“Wayobs Revenge”

Aspiring painter Gray Wilson and socialite Ashley York try to adjust back to their old lives after their surreal body-swapping experiences, but will anything ever truly be the same again? And now that they know of the incredible power held by the Encanto, can they resist the temptation to use it?

Meanwhile, Detective Saul Parker struggles to understand a bizarre string of murders, and nothing about his investigation is going well: the behavior of his prime suspect, Gray Wilson, is confusing, and after witnessing a shocking death up close, Saul casts suspicion on himself. Not only is he removed from the case, but he’s suspended from the force. Worse, he has a strange gap in his memory that he can’t explain.

With the help of his partner, Saul continues investigating off-duty, but things aren’t adding up, and he realizes that he’s dealing with forces beyond his comprehension. And there’s one crazy idea he just can’t shake: What if a murderer was able to control a person’s body and use them like a puppet?
